Adrienne Pauline Nielsen and Guangtian Zhang of Lincoln, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Parents of the couple are Dr. Michael and Linda Nielsen of McCook and Wenyuan and Guangrong Zhang of Urumqi, China.

The bride-to-be is a 2000 graduate of McCook High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing, Lincoln division. She works as a registered nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

The prospective bridegroom is a 1998 graduate of Urumqi Number One High School, a 2003 graduate of Zhejing University of Hangzhou, China and a 2005 graduate of the University of Nebraska Lincon, with a master of science in mechanical engineering. He is employed as a mechanical engineer for Parker Hannifin.

The couple is planning an Aug. 18, 2007, wedding ceremony at Peace Lutheran Church in McCook.
