STRATTON -- Rose Harrison, 81, of rural Stratton, died Wednesday (Aug. 8, 2007), at the El Dorado Manor in Trenton.

She was born March 12, 1926, to Leander (Cap) and Della (Dickie) Maris of rural Stratton. She attended a rural school and graduated from Stratton High School. As a teen she enjoyed flying a Piper Cub with her dad.

She taught rural school for two years before she married Warren on Aug. 3, 1948, on the family farm in Hitchcock County.

She taught Sunday school and Bible school at the Eden Missionary Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Warren Harrison; children, Ed and wife, Chris Harrison, Beverly and husband, Gary Henderson and Judy Harrison all of Stratton, and Kenneth and wife, Alicia Harrison of Fair Oaks, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, 10:30 a.m. CDT, at the Christian Union Church in Stratton, with Dr. Daniel Marshall officiating. Burial will be at 1:30 MDT (2:30 CDT) at the Riverside Cemetery at Wauneta.

Visitation will be Sunday 2-5 p.m. at the Christian Union Church.

Memorials may be given in her name.
