Meredith D. 'Buck' Lytle

LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Meredith D. "Buck" Lytle, 89, died Monday (July 30, 2007), at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Lawrence, Kan.

He was born Jan. 11, 1918, in Red Willow County to Roy and Mildred (Dimmitt) Lytle.

He was a World War II veteran and later worked in Civil Service at Fort Riley, Kan.

On Jan. 11, 1948, he married Jeanne Meese.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Tom Lytle.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanne of Lawrence; two sons, Richard Lytle of Plano, Texas, and Roy Lytle of Lawrence; one sister, Glee Wolf of Seattle, Wash., formerly of McCook; and three grandchildren.

Services are today, 7 p.m., at First Presbyterian Church in Junction City, Kan., with the Rev. Matthew Glasgow officiating. Inurnment will be Monday, 10:30 a.m., at the Danbury Cemetery with the Rev. David Rowe officiating.

Memorials are requested for the American Cancer Society, Heartland Division, 1100 Pennsylvania Ave., Kansas City, MO 64105.
