SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Richard A. "Dick" Decker, 68, died suddenly at his home in San Jose, Calif.
He was born Nov. 3, 1938, in Livingston, Mont., and was raised in Denver, Colo., and McCook, graduating from McCook High School in 1956.
He and his wife, Char, have lived in San Jose since 1960, where they owned and operated Decker's Jewelry in East San Jose. He was a certified master watchmaker.
He was a member of St. John Vianney Church.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene; a daughter, Trish and her husband, Matt Hoffmann; two sons, Rick Decker and wife, Leanne and Dave and wife, Kelli; a brother, James Mitchell; a sister, Jean Decker; and 10 grandchildren.
A memorial vigil will be Thursday, 7:30 p.m., at St. John Vianney Church in San Jose followed by a funeral Mass Friday at 10 a.m. A private interment will be Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of the donor's choice may be made.
