TOMS?RIVER, N.J. -- LaVerne Curcio, 81, died July 14, 2007, at her daughter's home in Toms River, N.J.

She was born to Floyd and Josephine Edwards on April 26, 1926, south of Culbertson.

In 1947, she married Peter Curcio at the Stone Church south of Culbertson. They lived in McCook while he was stationed at the McCook Airbase during World War II before moving to Lyndhurst, N.J. She later moved to Clifton, N.J.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Josephine Edwards, husband, Pete, and sister, Lucy Harris.

Survivors include her three daughters, Carmela and husband, Al Somma of Clifton, Charlene Richards of North Arlington, N.J., and Lucy Curcio of Clifton; two brothers, Lee Edwards and wife, Elizabeth of Centerville, Mass., and Joe Edwards and wife, Alice of McCook; one sister, Goldie Paolazzi and husband, Anthony of Lyndhurst; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were July 18, at Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home in Lyndhurst. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Lyndhurst.
