Kari Lynn Rich and John Wayne Shefffield, both of McCook, were married June 9, 2007 at the First Congregational Church in McCook, with the Rev. Steven Bales officiating.

Parents of the couple are Harry and Liana Rich of McCook and Herschel and Edna Sheffield of Wilcox.

Bridesmaids were Julie Rich, sister of the bride, of Oklahoma City and Jenny Colby, sister of the bride, of McCook.

Bridegroomsmen were Mark Sheffield, brother of the bridegroom, of Wallace and Allen Sheffield, brother of the bridegroom, of Grand Island.

The flower girl was Megan Wilson, daughter of the bride, of McCook. Ring bearers were Ryan Wazilson, son of the bride, of McCook and Erik Neilsen-Sheffield, son of the bridegroom.

Candlelighters were Morgan Rogers and Kailee Rogers of McCook.

Ushers were Brad Lundeen, brother of the bridegroom, of Wilcox and Ave Lundeen, brother of the bridegroom, of Axtell.

Organist was Joyce Hershberger and soloist was Kerri Unger, both of McCook.

The reception was in the basement of the First Congregational Church and was hosted by Patricia Sheffield, Patty Galbraith, Denise Bales and Bev Green.

Both the bride and bridegroom are employed by the U.S. Postal Service in McCook.

The couple will spend their honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico this fall.
