Robert 'B.A.W.B.' Anthony Hammond

Feb. 2, 1980 - July 14, 2007

WEST?VIRGINIA -- Robert "B.A.W.B." Anthony Hammond, age 27, died Saturday, July 14, 2007, in West Virginia.

He was born on Feb. 24, 1980, to John E. Hammond and Carol Ann Bybee in Omaha.  He graduated from McCook High School in 1998. 

He enjoyed football and was a Bison, Huskers and Broncos fan.  He spent all the time he could with his daughter and his family.  Bawb also enjoyed playing pool and playing horseshoes.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his daughter and family.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Bybee; great-grandparents, Everette and Hazelle "Toots" Bybee, great-grandparents, Ervin and Millie Bailey; great-grandmother, Grace McDowell; Uncle George Hammond; grandmother, Laura Stuck; and uncle, Leonard Gonzales.

Bawb is survived by his mother, Carol Ann Lambert and step-father, Steve Lambert of McCook; fathers, John E. Hammond of North Platte, Robert Stuck and Steve and Sherri Gonzales of McCook; special friend, Stephanie Anderson; daughter, Joslyn M. Hammond and unborn child, all of McCook; brothers, Dustin W. Stuck of McCook, Luke and John Warburton, and Gabe Critchfield of McCook, James Mitchell of Culbertson and Christopher Huddleston of Tustin, Calif.; sisters, Renae Stuck and Anna Lambert both of McCook, Melissa Hammond of North Platte, Shelly Gonzales of Omaha, Stacy Gonzales of McCook, Rainie Stuck and Stormie Pace of Fresno, Calif., Rhonda Lindquist of McCook and Shanna McCuin of Arkansas; special friends, Russell Kennedy of McCook, Cory Barber of West Virgina and Roger Werkmeister Jr., of McCook; grandmothers, DeWinta McDowell of Palisade and Shirley Peters of McCook; grandparents, Gary and Donna Lambert of McCook, Wayne Stuck of Texas; special nephews, Jackson R. Bybee and Mason A. Kennedy both of McCook; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorials may be given in his name.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home.  A balloon release will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery.  A private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
