Cody and Ashley Gerlach
PLYMOUTH -- Ashley Rice of Wilsonville and Cody Gerlach of DeWitt, were united in marriage May 5, 2007, at St. Pauls Evengelical Lutheran Church in Plymouth, with the Rev. John Bortulin officiating.

Parents of the bride are Tony and Patricia Rice of Wilsonville. Parents of the bridegroom are Rick and Amy Gerlach of DeWitt and Neal and Linda Freese of Plymouth. Grandparents of the bride are Warren and Arlene Rice of Wilsonville and John and Marge Chamberlin of Chapman, Kan. Grandparents of the bridegroom are Don and Betty Brown of Benkelman and Bob and Bernice Gerlach of Hallam.

Maid of honor was Whitney Rice, sister of bride, of Wilsonville. Bridesmaids were Candace Keener, of Cambridge, Shaunna Chartier of Pratt, Kan., and Sarah McQuistan of Valentine. Honorary bridesmaid was Chelsea Ruf of Cambridge.

Best man was Bryce Gerlach, cosin of the bridegroom, of Wilber. Bridegroomsmen were John Person of Lincoln, Levi Gerlach, brother of bridegroom, and Weston Gerlach, brother of bridegroom, both of Plymouth.

Savannah Gerlach, brother of the bridegroom, of DeWitt, served as flower girl. Ring bearer was August Gerlach, brother of the bridegroom, of DeWitt.

Candlelighters were Hannah Kratz, cousin of the bridegroom, of Gering and Cheyenne Gerlach, sister of the bridegroom, of DeWitt.

Ushers were Travis Rice brother of bride, of Chapman, Kan., Catlin Rice, brother of bride, of Wilsonville, Wade Chamberlin, cousin of bridegroom, of Chapman, and Benji Wells of Plymouth.

Organist was Ashley Schwab of Plymouth and soloists were Steph Pollack of Fairbury and Levi Gerlach of Plymouth.

The reception was hosted by Gordon and Tina Cook of Scottsbluff and Ron and Deb Brown of Oklahoma City, Okla. Guestbook attendant was Mari Dean of Mineral Point, Wis.

The bride is a junior at Hastings College, working on her bachelor of science degree in Communication Studies and Media Production. She is employed with Ivy-Rose Publishing in Sutton.

The bridegroom is a Senior News Editorial Major at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is employed with Ivy-Rose Publishing as an area sports reporter and editor.

After a honeymoon at Branson, Mo., the couple will reside in Hastings.
