Megan Jacob and Bryan Duckworth, both of North Platte, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Parents of the bride-to-be are Kurt and Michelle Proud of Bartley and Mark Jacob of Curtis.

Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Frank and Brenda Duckworth of Indianola.

The bride-to-be will be attending Joseph's College of Beauty in January.

The prospective bridegroom graduated from Mid Plains Community College in North Platte in 2006 as a diesel technician and is working with the Union Pacific Railroad as a machinist.

An Aug. 4, 2007, wedding is planned at the Congregational Church in McCook.
