Jim and Kathleen Piper of Omaha announce the enagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Haley to Ryan Haas, son of Raleigh and Kathy Haas of McCook.

The bride-to-be is a 1999 graduate of Yankton High School in South Dakota and a 2004 graduate of Creighton University with a bachelor's degree in theater. She is the education director and an actor with the RESPECT Program, which teaches violence prevention and anti-bullying techniques to students and adults through theater.

The prospective bridegroom is a 2000 graduate of McCook High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Omaha with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. He will receive his master's degree in civil engineering in December 2007. He is employed as a civil engineer with the city of Omaha.

An Aug. 11, 2007, wedding is planned at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church in Omaha.
