GRAND ISLAND -- Albert W. Culton, 86, died Friday (July 6, 2007) at the Grand Island Veterans Home.
He was born Sept. 7, 1920, at North Platte, to Albert and Marie (Brodbeck) Culton. He graduated from North Platte High School and attended Midland Lutheran College. He served in the Army during World War II from 1942 to 1946.

He was a member of the Eagles Drum Bugle Corps.
He was preceded in death by his wife Sarah and his parents.
He is survived by his daughter, Karen Evans of McCook; sister, Florence Phillips and husband, Web of McCook; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one nephew.
Services will be 1 p.m., Friday, at the Grand Island Veterans Home -- All Faiths Chapel with the Rev. Sheri Lodel officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. at the Westerville City Cemetery, with Military Honors by the Ansley and Broken Bow VFW's and American Legions.
Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. until service time.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
