Megan Jacob and Bryan Duckworth, both of North Platte, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Parents of the bride-to-be are Kurt and Michelle Proud of Bartley and Mark Jacob of Curtis.

Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Frank and Brenda Duckworth of Indianola.

The bride-to-be will be attending Joseph's College of Beauty in January.

The prospective bridegroom graduated from Mid Plains Community College in North Platte in 2006 as diesel technician and is working with the Union Pacific Railroad as a machinist.

An August 2, 2007 wedding is planned at the Congregational Church in McCook.
