MCDONALD, Kan. -- Jack Webster Poore, 81, died Saturday (June 30, 2007) at the Rawlins County Health Center in Atwood.
He was born Feb. 12, 1926, in McCook to Jay Webster and Bessie (Carter) Poore.
He was a resident of McDonald and a retired rancher-farmer and well driller.
Survivors include his wife, Verna E.; three sons, Charles and wife, Judy, Jim and wife, Jan and Curby, all of McDonald; two sisters, Phyllis Alberts of McCook and Eileen Rapp of Axtell; one brother, Virgil Poore of Martinsville, Va.,; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, 10 a.m., at the United Methodist Church in Atwood with the Rev. Dan Carson officiating. Interment will be in Grace Cemetery in McDonald, with Masonic Rites and Military Honors.
Memorials may be given in his name to the McDonald Ambulance Fund.
