Heidi Orrell and Ryan Raess of Omaha announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Parents of the couple are Dave and Carla Orrell of Omaha and Jim and Connie Raess of Deshler. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Sharon and the late Walt Barenberg of Benkelman and John and Maxine Orrell of Ogallala, formely of McCook.

The bride-to-be graduated from the University of Nebraska and the prospective groom graduated from Doane College. Both are employed with the Union Pacific Railroad in Omaha.

The couple is planning a July 14, 2007, wedding at St Patrick Catholic Church in Gretna.
