ATWOOD -- Wendell L. Strohm, 72, died Thursday (June 21, 2007) at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
He was born Jan. 20, 1935, in Rockville, Ill., to Charles T. and Edna M. (Charlotte) Strohm.
He was retired from the military, and worked for 28 years for the Denver Union Station in Denver, Colo. He was a resident of Atwood.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles T. Strohm and Edna M. Strohm and two brothers, Alvin and Melvin.
Survivors include his wife, Vanesa and children, Kimberly and Kyle of Atwood; his daughters, Christine and husband, Robert and Pamela Romine all of Muskatine, Iowa; son, Steve of Fort Madison, Iowa; two brothers, Duke of Aspatula, Fla., and Merle of Springfield, Mo.; sister, Loretta Morell of Ramsey, Ill.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be Friday, 10 a.m., at Courts of Praise Church with the Rev. Kent Morgan officiating.
There is no visitation, his body was cremated.
Memorials may be given in his name and left at Williams Funeral Home in Atwood.
