IMPERIAL -- Patricia "Patsy" Mae (Creasman) Teply, 79, died Friday (June 1, 2007) at Chase County Community Hospital.

She was born May 24, 1928, to Bill and Charlotte (Powers) Creasman in Indianola. She grew up in Southwest Nebraska and graduated from Wauneta High School in 1946. She attended McCook Community College and after receiving a teaching certificate, she taught one year at a rural county school.

She married Eddie Teply on Sept. 11, 1947, at St. John's Catholic Church in Wauneta. They lived on the Teply homestead in northeast Chase County, where they farmed and ranched until moving to Imperial in 1991. She moved northwest of Imperial after her husband's death in 1999. She returned to Imperial in 2002.

She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and altar society of Wauneta, the Garfield Club, and St. Patrick's Catholic Church and altar society of Imperial.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eddie; son, Danny Joe; and a brother, Billie.

Survivors include her sons, Dave Teply of Imperial and Sam Teply and wife, Kristie of Lexington; daughter, Cindy Balsom and husband, Steve of Great Falls, Mont.; brother, Roger Creasman and wife, Sharon of Elfrida, Ariz.; sister, Joyce Hofman of McCook; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass was today 10 a.m. (MT) at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Imperial, with the Rev. Val Bartak officiating. Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery in Wauneta.

Memorials may be given in her name.
