Clayton L. Pierson, 18, died Sunday (May 20, 2007) in Hitchcock County from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

He was born April 16, 1989, in Hahn, Germany to Robert A. and Kimberly R. (Wurm) Pierson. He was a 2007 graduate of McCook High School.

He was in the U.S. Army Reserve.

He was a soccer coach for the Youth league.

He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in McCook.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents.

Survivors include his mother, Kim Pinkerton and husband, Jeff of McCook; his father Robert Pierson and wife, Suzanne of Culbertson; his brother, Chase and two sisters, Whitney Pierson of McCook and Kinsley Hurst of Colorado Spring, Colo.; grandparents, George and Rhonda Wurm of McCook, Judy Aeby of Benkelman and Bob and Jan Logan of McCook; great-grandmother, Bessie Hendrix of Benkelman; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, 11 a.m., at Peace Lutheran Church with the Rev. Bradley Rick officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday, 8 a.m.-7:30 p.m., followed by a private service for the family at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home.
