Ron and Doris Friehe of McCook announce the engagement of their daughter, Valerie Friehe, to Brionn Tonkin, son of Jeff and Nana Tonkin of Fort Collins, Colo.

The bride-to-be is a 1999 graduate of McCook High School and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She works at Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Englewood, Colo.

The prospective bride groom is a 1999 graduate of Rocky Mountain High School in Fort Collins and is a fourth year medical student at the University of Colorado Denver Health and Science Center.

A July 6, 2007, wedding is planned at Lookout Mountain Community Church in Golden, Colo.
