Parents of the couple are Paul and Karen Smolik of Kearney, Don and Londa Kost of Kearney and Tom Deyle of Odessa.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Pauline Frecks of Culbertson.
The bride-to-be is a 2003 graduate of Kearney High School and will graduate from Doane College in May with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. Next fall, she plans to attend the UNMC College of Pharmacy in Omaha as a first-year pharmacy student.
The prospective bridegroom is also a 2003 graduate of Kearney High School and will graduate from Doane College in May with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry. Next fall, he will continue his education as a second-year pharmacy student at the UNMC College of Pharmacy in Omaha.
A June 16, 2007, wedding ceremony is being planned at Yanney Heritage Park in Kearney.
