Joyce I. Samuelson, 55, of McCook died Sunday (May 6, 2007) at Community Hospital in McCook. 

 She was born, Oct. 7, 1951, in McCook to John C. and Louise (Creighton) Pollmann. 

She graduated from Culbertson High School in 1968 and from McCook Community College in 1970. 

On June 23, 1989, she married Doug Samuelson in McCook.

Joyce was a member of the First Congregational Church.  She worked as a bookkeeper for 12 years for D&S Hardware and for Perry Grain Elevator. She also worked for IBP Meat Packing Company for eight and a half years, and for Republican Valley Schools as a custodian and at Valmont Irrigation where she was presently employed.

She loved her family, grandchildren, peacocks, pheasants, gardening, fishing, camping, and spending time with her husband and being at home.

She was preceded in death by her father, John.  ??

Survivors include her husband, Doug of McCook; her children, Robert Samuelson and wife, Becky of Omaha, Thomasine Moore and husband, Dave of Columbus, Doug Samuelson Jr. and wife, Carrie of Columbus, Harry Samuelson of Norfolk, Virginia; her mother, Louise Pollmann of McCook; brothers, Larry Pollmann and wife, Diane of McCook, Jarry Pollman and wife, Valorie of McCook and Loren Pollmann and wife, Margaret of Trenton; two sisters, Judy Redmer and husband, Lynn of Garden Plain, Kan., and Linda Hilker and husband, Roland of McCook; and seven grandchildren; mother-in-law, Marguerite Samuelson of McCook; sister-in-law, Sharron Rowe and husband, Gary of York; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were today at 1:30 p.m. at First Congregational Church in McCook with Pastor Phil Ewert and Pastor Steve Bales officiating.  Burial was in Garden Prairie Cemetery.
