Bessie Pickel

March 28, 1910 - April 18, 2007

WICHITA, Kan. -- Bessie Pickel, formerly of McCook, 97, died Wednesday (April 18, 2007) at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita, Kan.

She was born March 28, 1910. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Thomas Knotts and Alva Pickel; one daughter-in-law, Carrie Gallington; and all seven of her siblings.

Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Staudenmaier and husband, George of Harrison, and Bonnie Johnson and husband, Jay of Wichita,; one son, Donald Knotts of Channelview, Texas; six grandchildren; eight; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services are planned for May 25, at the Sutherland Cemetery.

 Carpenter Breland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
