OXFORD -- Sharon Irene "Sha" Wolzen, 68, of Oxford, died Monday (April 23, 2007) at the Phelps Memorial Health Center in Holdrege.
She was born July 13, 1938, in Red Willow County, near Lebanon to Francis "Lloyd" and Elsie Alfreda (Gay) McCashland. She received her education at Lebanon, graduating from Lebanon High School with the class of 1956.
Following her education, she married Charles E. Wolzen at McCook. The couple made their home in Oxford. She was employed as a bookkeeper for various businesses and later worked at Becton-Dickinson in Holdrege from 1975, until her retirement in 2000.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Oxford.
She was preceded in death by her son; her parents; five sisters, Betty Jo Orvis and husband, George, Glenva Orvis, Mildred O'Hare, Vada Huntsman and husband, Sam and Donna Hardin and husband, Rod.
Survivors include her two brothers-in-law, Lawrence Orvis of McCook and Elton O'Hare of Oberlin; special friend, Don Ekberg of Holdrege; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be Wednesday, 11 a.m., at the First Baptist Church in Oxford, with the Rev. Dave Hunt officiating. Inurnment will be in the Hendley Cemetery.
