GREEN?FOREST, Ark. -- Samuel Otto Henry, a resident of Green Forest, Ark., was born July 10, 1915, in Dunlap, Tenn., a son of James Sanford and Frances Ruby (Knight) Henry. He departed this life Sunday (April 22, 2007) in Springfield, Mo., at the age of 91.
Mr. Henry was a farmer and was also a line worker at Tyson Foods in Berryville, Ark., in his later years. He was also an avid gardener up to the age of 88.
He was a member and senior deacon of Airway Chapel in Berryville.
He is survived by two sons, Verlin O. Henry and his wife, Janet of Topeka, Kan., and James R. Henry and his wife, Karen of McCook; one daughter, Eleanor Henry of Green Forest, Ark.; six grandchildren, Bradley Henry of Overland Park, Kan., and Scott Henry of St. Louis, Mo., Amy Miller of Seward, Carrie McIntosh of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Malinda Henry of Brazil, and Travis Henry of Phoenix, Ariz.; and nine great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 -- 8 p.m., at Nelson Chapel in Berryville with funeral services Thursday at 2 p.m., at Airway Chapel in Berryville with Rev. Junior Dotson officiating.
