Harold W. Day

April 27, 1924 - April 5, 2007

DENVER, Colo. -- Harold W. Day, 82, died Thursday (April 5, 2007) at his home in Denver, Colo.

He was born April 27, 1924. He served in the U.S. Navy.

He married Betty Ike at the United Methodist Church in McCook. They were married for 38 years. She preceded him in death. He married Betty Funk.

He worked as a sheet metal mechanic in the McCook area, before moving to Denver. He retired after 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty and his second wife, Mary.

Survivors include his children, Cheryl, Ronald, Robert and wife, Carol and Barbara Tackett; two sisters, Elaine Potts of Cambridge and Shirley Junker of Indianola; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were April 10, at Moore Howard Chapel. Interment was at Crown Hill with a reception at Westminister Elks.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
