ATWOOD -- Erma L. (Curtin) Cox, 85, former longtime Atwood resident, died Wednesday (April 11, 2007), at Medicalodge in Kinsley, Kan.

She was born May 26, 1921, at Gem, Kan., to John E. and Jessie L. (Montgomery) Curtin.

In 1942, she married Marvin Lee Cox at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Atwood.

She was homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin; a daughter, Jean Marie Biastock; and a brother, Dick Curtin.

Survivors include three daughters, Nancy Jo Rosenthal of Rockville, Md., Mary Jane Zimmerly of Aurora, Colo., and Lee Ann Heier of Quinter, Kan.; three sisters, Jean Mallory of Colby, Kan., Marie Kutsuma of Denver, Colo., and Merle Pierson of Denver; a brother, John Curtin of Colby; a son-in-law, Dennis Biastock of Anchorage, Alaska; and eight grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be Monday, 10 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Atwood with the Rev. Galen Long officiating. Interment will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Atwood.

A parish vigil is Sunday, 7 p.m., at Williams Funeral Home in Atwood.

Visitation is Sunday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Memorial may be made to the Atwood Second Century Fund, the Atwood Pool Fund and Medicalodge of Kinsley.

Williams Funeral Home of Atwood is in charge of arrangements.
