BEAVER CITY?--?Vera V. Lambert, 91, died Thursday (April 12, 2007) at her son's home in Beaver City.

She was born March 20, 1916, at Randolph, to Charles and Etoily ( Totton ) Champlin. She was raised at Plattsmouth and moved to Nebraska City at the age of 9. The family then moved to Beaver City in the mid 1920's. She attended Beaver City High School.

She married Lawrence Lambert on April 2, 1933, at Norton, Kan., they farmed Northwest and Southeast of Beaver City retiring from farming in 1973, at which time they moved to Johnson's Lake near Elwood until 1995, when they returned to Beaver City.

She worked at Becton-Dickinson in Holdrege from 1970, until her retirement in 1991. She was a Sunday School Teacher for several years at North Park Assembly Church in Holdrege where she was a member. Later she transferred her membership to Friendship Center For Christian Living at Beaver City.

She was member of Friendship Extension Club of rural Beaver City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence on June 19, 1998; son, Gene; daughter, Phyllis Beins and son-in-law, Darrell Beins.

Survivors include three sons, Ariyn Lambert and wife, Dorothy of Beaver City, Ellis Lambert and wife, Jean of Holdrege and Earl Lambert and special friend, Mary Christenson, both of Alma; 14 grandchildren: and 27 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, 10:30 a.m., at the First Presbyterian Church in Beaver City with the Rev. Bonnie Perkins, officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery at Beaver City

Viewing and visitation will be Saturday 9 a.m., - 8 p.m., and Sunday 1 p.m. - 8 p.m., at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City and prior to services on Monday at the church.
