KEARNEY -- Joy A. Emig, 76, died March 28, 2007, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 11, 1930, on a farm near Danbury in Red Willow County to Ira and Matilda (Fisher) Williams. She graduated from Cambridge High School.
She married Theodore Emig in 1954. They lived in Denver, Colo., Culbertson, McCook, Kearney, North Platte and Lexington. She worked as a cook. After retiring, they moved to Kearney.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son Bruce Ray; and five brothers.
Survivors include her sons, Orlando Kim Emig and wife, Connie of Riverside, Calif., Rondeau Hoyt Emig of Florida, and Aundreau Robert Emig and wife, Donna of Schuyler, N.Y.; daughters, Kathryn Molliconi and husband, Richard of Englewood, Colo., and Anna Teresa LaFon and husband, Mark of Lincoln; daughter-in-law, Linda Emig of Palm Harbor, Fla.; brothers, Robert Williams and wife, Genny of Chapman, Maine and Verl Williams and wife, Betty Jo of Tulsa, Okla.; sisters, Leona Mae Houghtelling of North Platte, Lois Pennell and husband, Wayne of Grand Island and Oma Lawver and husband Stan of Kearney; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Saturday at the O'Brien -- Straatmann Funeral Home in Kearney. The Rev. Randy Dugger will officiate.
