Ken and Joy Simpson of Gretna and Robert and Jody Rupp of Grand Island announce the engagement of their daughter and son, Rachel Simpson and Chris Rupp. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Willis and Norma Lea Bryant of Curtis and Roger and Joan Rupp of Johnson Lake. The bride-to be is a special education teacher with the Papillion-LaVista Public Schools. She graduated from Gretna High School in 2000, and from Doane College in 2004, and attends UNK's graduate program. The prospective bridegroom is a 2004, graduate of Doane College and attends the Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, Ind. He is a 2000, Grand Island Northwest High School graduate. The wedding will take place at Gretna United Methodist Church July 7, 2007.
