Betty Jean Schneider died Tuesday (March 27, 2007) at Community Hospital in McCook at the age of 79.
She was born May 6, 1927, at Omaha the daughter of the late Wilber Dean and Gertrude (Spear) Conner. Betty grew up at Maywood and attended high school at Curtis.
On June 5, 1947, Betty married Victor Schneider at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in McCook. They farmed in Hayes County until retiring and moving to McCook in 1980.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Victor on Jan. 28, 2005, her son, Clifford Victor Schneider on May 29, 1978; an infant brother, Jacob Conner; and grandson, Justin Sines in 1983.
Betty is survived by three daughters, Vicky Myers and husband, Ron of North Platte, Nancy Dack and husband, Joe of McCook and Rose Sines and husband, Larry of Hayes Center; eight grandchildren, Shane Myers and wife, Heather, Jason Myers and wife, Renae, Michael Dack, Derek Dack, Staci Dack, Tyson Sines and wife, Amy, Wade Sines and wife, Dana, and Morgan Sines; six great-grandchildren, Tayte and Abby Myers, and Karlie, Lexie, Landon and Alex Sines; one brother, Keith Conner of North Platte; relatives and friends.
Rosary is today at 6:30 p.m., at Herrmann Memorial Chapel and Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in McCook, with the Rev. Gary Brethour officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in McCook.
