CAMBRIDGE -- Frances G. Jackson, 92, died Sunday (Feb. 11, 2007) at Cambridge Manor.
She was born in Spavinaw, Okla., on Jan. 30, 1915, to Reese Davis and Laura Anna (Blakemore) Whittington. She attended high school in Salina, Okla., and graduated as Valedictorian of her class in 1933.
In 1935, she married Tim Jackson in Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1991. His work took them to several states including Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and North Dakota before living in Superior for about 10 years.
The Bureau of Reclamation transferred them to Medicine Creek Dam where they lived until retirement. She continued to live in her home until health concerns moved her to the Tri Valley Assisted Living and then to the Cambridge Manor.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tim; a grandson, Tim Patterson; three brothers, Jack, Davis and Louis; and two sisters, Mabel and an infant.
She is survived by three daughters, Patricia and husband, Dale Frahm of Nelson, Sammy and husband, David Lynn of Glenvil and Phyliss and husband, Roy Patterson of Cambridge; one son, James and wife, Judy Jackson of Cambridge; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, 11 a.m., at Trinity United Methodist Church in Cambridge with the Rev. Tim Burke officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Cambridge.
Memorials may be given to the Tri Valley Health System, the Cambridge School Foundation or the Trinity United Methodist Church.
There will be private family viewing only.
