Patrick and Elvera Wendelin of Lindsborg, Kan., Roxie Erickson of Manhattan, Kan., and Delbert Erickson of Atwood announce the engagement of their children, Farah Wendelin and Kris Erickson. Grandfather of the bride-to-be is Karl Wendelin of Herndon; Grandmother of the prospective bridegroom is Bernice Martin of Oberlin.

The couple both graduated from Decatur Community High School in Oberlin. The bride-to-be is a graduate of Bethany College, Lindsborg, Kan., and the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha and is a Medical Technologist at Lindsborg Community Hospital. The prospective bridegroom holds degrees from Fort Hays State University and is employed as the Executive Director of Riverside Plaza, an independent living facility in Salina, Kan. The couple plans to marry in October of 2007.
