Barbara A. Roberts of McCook and Gary L. Whitehead of Garden City, Kan., announce their engagement and upcoming wedding. Parents of the couple are Alice Raile of Oxford, Stan Raile of Hastings and the late Joseph and Sharon Whitehead. Grandparents are LaVera Beringer and Ilene Raile of St. Francis, the late Edwin Beringer, Clarence Raile, LaVern and Doris Whitehead and Earl and Mildred Taylor.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Spencer School of Business at Grand Island with a degree in legal administration and attended CCC in Hastings in the Medical Assisting field and served in the U. S. Military. She is currently employed with The Magrath Company. The prospective bridegroom is employed by Hilker Transportation of Cambridge. The couple is planning a May 4, 2007, wedding ceremony.
