He was born Dec. 29, 1927, to Gottleib and Sophie (Ogorzolka) Clouse in Bartley.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1946-47. He married Beaulah "Boots" (Kramer) Bell in 1952.
He was preceded in death by his parents and step-parents; wife, Beaulah May 9, 1999; brother, John; sister, Helen; great-grandson, Eric; and step daughter-in-law, Carolyn.
He is survived by his step-sons, Warren Bell and Roger Bell, both of Loveland, Colo.; step-daughters, Karen Smith, and husband James of McCook, Kay Bell of Hudson, Colo., Dianne Alexander and husband, Arden of Liberal, Kan.; sister Lucille Ohlson of Holdrege; special aunt, Ora Clouse; sevengrandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given in his name to the Heritage Senior Center.
Funeral services were today at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with Terry McCorkle officiating. Burial was in the Bartley Cemetery
