Storm damage

The parts department at Klein's Motor and Electric in McCook sits cold and wet after the roof fell in under the weight of 12-14 inches of snow that fell last Friday and Saturday. Owner Don Klein said Wednesday he plans to move parts shelves into repair bays in the shop, and continue business as usual. "We will do everything humanly possible to take care of our customers," Klein said. "That's so important to me," he said, especially when livestock producers are feeding animals this time of year. Klein said he is awaiting insurance adjusters before making decisions regarding repairs to the 40x50-foot parts department. Klein's has been located on the same West B and Fifth Street corner since Don's father, Ben, started the business in 1934.
