Krae Dutoit pours in 31 points in Broncos' win over Concordia

SEWARD -- McCook High School alum Krae Dutoit fired in nine 3-pointers on 10 attempts and scored 31 points to lead the Hastings College men's basketball team past Concordia University 94-73 Wednesday night in Seward.

Dutoit also chipped in with 7 rebounds.

Bobby Kempf added 26 points on 13 of 17 shooting and pulled down 4 rebounds.

The Broncos shot 59.3 percent from behind the arc and 65.2 percent from the field. Hastings outrebounded Concordia 34-19 and led by 22 points at halftime.

Leading the way for Concordia was Scott Hannon with 24 points and 4 rebounds.

The Broncos improved their record to 11-6 overall and 4-2 in Great Plains Athletic Conference play.

The Hastings College men will host the Defenders of Dordt College at 4 p.m. Saturday.

SEWARD -- The No. 14-ranked Hastings College women's basketball team improved its overall record to 13-4 with a 73-67 win over Concordia University in Seward Wednesday.

The Broncos improved their conference record to 4-2. The Broncos were led by senior Stacy Svoboda, the GPAC Women's Player of the Week, who had 19 points and 5 rebounds.

Heather McKeon came off the bench to add 16 points and four rebounds. Hruka Yamashito had a came high five assists for the Broncos.

The Broncos were 47.3 percent from the field and 31.8 percent from behind the arc.

The Broncos led 41-29 at the half and were able to hold off the surge from Concordia to notch their fourth conference win of the year.

Leading the way for Concordia was Whitney Stichka with 15 points. Concordia falls to 8-8 overall and 1-5 in conferene play.

The Hastings College men will host Dordt College at 2 p.m. Saturday.
