CURTIS --Margaret Maxine Danbom, 74, died Monday, (Nov. 20, 2006) at her home in Curtis. 

She was born July 19, 1932, in Keystone to Charles and Addie (Cowman) Embrey. She graduated from Maywood High School, and grew up on the family farm near Wellfleet.

She lived in the Maywood area for 23 years, before moving to Curtis, where she has  resided for the past six years.   She was employed by the Maywood Insurance Co. as a secretary,  for 27 years.

On Dec. 6, 1980, she married Bill Danbom in North Platte.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jim and Lynn Embrey; three sisters, Dolly Nelson; and Twylia Naimo  and June Cooley.

Survivors include her husband, Bill; two sisters, Mildred Garner of Wellfleet and Dorothy DeMoss of Williston, N.D.; two sons, Rich Thayer and Mike Thayer and wife, Peggy all of McCook; one daughter, Sherry Schneiderheinz and husband, Doug of Grand Island; 13 grandchildren; seven and a half great-grandchildren;  and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be Monday 10:30 a.m.  at the First Methodist Church in Curtis with the Rev. Kevin Burkhardt officiating. Burial will be in Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell. ?
