Gale Yost 82, died Tuesday (Nov. 14, 2006) at Community Hospital in McCook.

He was born July 8, 1924, in Red Willow County to Everett and Minnie B. (Weeks) Yost. He grew up on the family farm southwest of McCook, where he attended rural school.

He moved with his family to McCook in 1960, where he was employed by Ernst Dairy and later by Roger Goltl until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Russel, Wayne and Dale; and three sisters, Melva Minary, Luetta Yost and Lorraine Matheny.

Survivors include his brother, Leroy of Hayes Center; two sisters, Lola Allacher of Atwood and Frieda Steier of McCook; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m., at Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Jeffery Thurman officiating. Interment will follow.

Memorials may be given in his name and friends may call the funeral home from 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
