Stewart, Shiers wedding

Rose Stewart and Leeland Shiers, both of McCook, were united in marriage on Oct. 14, 2006, at St. Patrick's Church in McCook, with the Rev. Gary Brethour officiating.

Parents of the couple are Tom and Karen Stewart and Dan and Theresa Shiers. Grandparents of the bride are Joan Stevenson of McCook and Wayne Stewart of McCook. Mary Shiers of Kearney is the grandmother of the bridegroom.

Danielle Thomas of Kearney was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Stephanie Wilson, cousin of the bride, of Denver, Colo., Jayme Muehlemkamp of Fort Collins, Colo., and Jolie Ricenbaw of Waverly.

Brandon Shiers, brother of the bridegroom, of Saint Cloud, Minn., served as best man.

Bridegroomsmen were Allan Shiers, brother of the bridegroom, of Kearney, Doug Sutko of Omaha and Kevin Michaelis of McCook.

Taylor Stewart, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl and Jake Carter, cousin of the bride, was the ringbearer. Candlelighters were Ross Stewart, brother of the bride, of McCook and Steven Shiers, cousin of the bridegroom, of Kearney. Chris Lyons was the organist.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Community Building in McCook. Cassie Spencer was the guestbook attendant. Ken and Cindy Wilson of Culbertson, aunt and uncle of the bride, were the host couple.

The bride is employed at McCook Commmity Hospital and the bridegroom is employed at AmFirst Financial Services. The couple is making their home in McCook.
