PARKER, Colo. -- Donald Lee Spence, 85, died Thursday (Nov. 9, 2006), at Castle Rock, Colo.
He was born July 4, 1921, at Cambridge to Walter and Pauline (Lehman) Spence.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
On June 9, 1946, he married Evelyn May Clapp in McCook.
He retired from the VA Hospital in Grand Junction, Colo., where he served as operation and maintenance supervising engineer.
He was a member of the American Legion and AARP.
Survivors include his daughter, Vivien and husband, Rodney Keith of Parker, Colo.; two grandsons; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, 7 p.m., at Parker Funeral Home in Parker with a reception following. Burial will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
Viewing and visitation will be Wednesday, 5-7 p.m., at the funeral home.
Parker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
