Schmeiding, Schurr wedding

Karl and Ryan Schurr

SEWARD -- Kari Schmieding of Utica and Ryan Schurr of Moorefield were united in marriage on July 29, 2006, at the home of Joe and Carol Schmieding in Seward, with the Rev. John Reehl officiating.

Parents of the couple are Myron and Donneta Schmieding of Utica and John L. and Kay Schurr of Farnam. Lorna Schmieding of Utica is the grandmother of the bride and Estella Tillotson of Farnam is the grandmother of the bridegroom.

Kate Vrbka of Seward served as maid of honor and Erin Fay Statz of Nelson was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Teri Klute of Lincoln, Korrina Hughes of Glenwood, Iowa, Kelly Stoll of Utica and Sierra Barrett of Bradshaw.

Dallas Farr of Maywood served as the bestman. bridegroomsmen were Marty Schurr and Wayne Schurr both of Maywood,Todd Schmieding of Utica and Dan Nelson of Moorefield.

Abigayle Warm of Seward and Megan Vrbka of Staplehurst were the flowergirls. The ushers were Stephan Statz of Nelson, Brady Trampe of Amherst and Daren Ostdiek of Nelson. Maggie Miller of Seward was the soloist.

A reception followed the ceremony in the Schmieding home. Guestbook attendants were Nicole Leif of Friend and LaTona Schmieding of Gresham. Host couples were Dan and Evie Barrett of York and Joe and Carol Schmieding.

The bride is employed at the Gothenburg Animal Hospital. The bridegroom is a rancher with Schurrtop Angus & Charolais.

The couple honeymooned in Cancun and are making their home in Moorefield.
