KANSAS?CITY, Mo. --?Lois May Johnson 70, died Tuesday (Oct. 17, 2006) at the Carondelet Nursing Home in Kansas City, Mo.

She was born on Nov. 1, 1935, north of McCook, to Frederick and Alma (Unger) Ackerman. She graduated from McCook High School in 1953.

On May 22, 1955, she married Garry Wagner at McCook. They farmed north of Culbertson until Garry and son, David's death in 1967.

On Feb. 16, 1968, she married Cecil Johnson in McCook at the Peace Lutheran Church. They lived in Boise, Idaho, Pueblo and Loveland, Colo., Casper, Wyo., Houston, Texas, Overland Park, Kan., and St. Louis, Mo. Before moving to Overland Park, Kan., in 2004, they lived in McCook where she worked at the Wal-Mart store.

She was a former member of Christ Lutheran Church in Overland Park, Kan., and a current member of Peace Lutheran Church in McCook.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Garry Wagner, one son, David Wagner, father, Frederick Ackerman in 1984, and a niece, Laura.

Survivors include her husband, Cecil; her mother, Alma Ackerman of McCook; two sons, John Wagner and wife, Pam of Ballwin, Mo., and Edward Wagner of Hudson, Colo.; one sister, Eileen Hubert and husband, John of McCook; and two grandsons.

A memorial service will be Monday 10:30 a.m., at the Peace Lutheran Church in McCook
