YUMA, Ariz. -- Everett C. Powell, 81, died Friday (Oct. 20, 2006) in Lincoln.

He was born Feb. 21, 1925, at Crab Orchard to Carl and Alice (Walrod) Powell.

He was a retired secretary for the Eagles Club in Grand Island and a U. S. Army Air Corp Veteran

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Vickie Powell; and a granddaughter, Kristie Flaherty.

Survivors include his wife, Leora "Lee" Powell, of Yuma; sons and daughters-in-law: Robert and Patti Powell, Bettendorf, Iowa, Richard and Vicki Powell and Michael Powell, all of Lincoln; a daughter, Nancy Powell, also of  Lincoln; a sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Bob Brodbeck of Grant; a brother: Keith Powell of Imperial; nine grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren

The body has been cremated and the family plans a private service.
