OMAHA -- Brandon Crick, 2006 graduate of McCook High School, was selected to be a member of the 2006 Junior All-Star Team by the Nebraska Junior Golf Association.

The five-member team will be honored Nov. 17 at the Omaha Country Club.

Members of the team were selected based upon their performance in state and/or national tournaments and state select teams in 2006.

In addition, other criteria considered include a player's integrity and conduct both on and off the golf course.

Crick will be joined on the team by Mike Coatman, Lincoln; Blake Giroux, Omaha; Bobby Knowles, Omaha; and Jordan Reinertson, Gibbon.

Crick is a freshman on the Gonzaga University (Spokane, Wash.) men's golf team this fall. He has qualified to participate in his team's first four meets.

He placed 10th at the Purple and Red Invite in Ogden, Utah and 14th in the Idaho Fall Classic.

Crick's scoring average is 72.8.

Crick and his Gonzaga teammates will compete in a meet at San Jose, Claif., next week.

Crick was a three-time all-state player for the McCook Bison. He placed second at the Nebraska Class B boys state tournament his senior year, third as a junior and second as a sophomore.

During his senior year at McCook High School, Crick placed sixth at the district meet and third at the Greater Nebraska Athletic Conference meet.

During the summer, Crick was a member of the Nebraska squad that defeated Kansas in the Junior Cup, won the Nebraska Junior Amateur Championship, placed second in the Nebraska Amateur and won the Heritage Hills Club Championship.
