GERING -- Kyle Doak Nickerson, 28, died Thursday, (Oct. 5, 2006), at the Heritage Estates Care Center in Gering. 

He was born on Aug. 17, 1978, to H. Doak and Kay (Wymore) Nickerson in Rapid City, S.D.  He lived with his parents in Minatare, until the age of 6. He was then became a resident at the Bethphage Mission in Axtell until 2000.  He has been a resident at the Heritage Estate in Gering since 2000.

He loved to listen to Christian music on radio station K-LOVE.  In his own way he touched many people with his smile and laughter.  He was very good at keeping secrets.

 He was preceded in death by a twin brother Tyler at birth, his maternal grandmother Barbara Wymore, paternal grandparents Harold and Esther Nickerson and an uncle, Dennis Wymore.

Survivors include his parents, Doak and Kay Nickerson of Minatare; one sister Darr and husband, Andy Tucknott of Missoula, Mont.; a brother Aaron, of Minatare; and grandparents, Marvin and Norma Wymore of Cambridge.

 Funeral services will be at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge Monday, 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Clark Bates officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Cambridge.

Visitation will be Sunday 2-9 p.m.

Memorial may be left in his name at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary (POB 247, Cambridge, NE 69022).
