CULBERTSON -- Dorothy "June" Mustion, 81, died Sunday (Sept. 24, 2006), at Hillcrest Nursing Home.
She was born Aug, 12, 1925, at McCook, to Rue and Jenny (Loomis) Hauxwell. She graduated from Red Willow High School in 1941. She taught in rural schools for nine years. .
On June 5, 1946, she married Fred Willis Mustion at the Indianola Church of Christ. They made their home near Culbertson where she was a homemaker and had an instrumental part of their farming operation.
She was a member of the Church of Christ, Ladies Missionary Club and Red Willow Ladies Extension Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rue and Jenny Hauxwell; three sisters, Hazelle, Phyllis and Violet; and three brothers, Jay, Lawrence and Clifford Hauxwell.
Survivors include her husband, Fred Mustion of Culbertson; her children, Jerry Mustion and wife, Kris, of Culbertson; daughter, Linda and husband, Mike Searcey, of McCook; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given in her name.
Funeral services will be Thursday, 10 a.m., at the Bethel Missionary Church in Culbertson with the Rev. Richard Karr officiating. Burial will be in the Culbertson Cemetery.
Visitation will be today until 5 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Friends may go online at to extend condolences.
