Longhorns rip Hershey

IMPERIAL -- Chase County rolled past Hershey Friday 49-0.

The Longhorns are ranked No. 2 in Nebraska Class C-1.

Matt May led the Longhorns out in the first quarter with a 75 yard run, with Will Falla making the kick. Lance Milner started the second quarter for the Longhorns with a 4 yard run.

Rony Sieperda joined Milner with a 5 yard run with May making the extra point, May once again took the board with a 9 yard run, with Alex Sharp making the kick and giving the team a strong lead over Hershey 28-0.

Darrin Schultz led the team in the third with a 44 yard pass to Scott Way with Sharp making the kick. Taylor Wentz intercepted the ball and ran 35 yards to finish the third.

Nathan Hill posted the final score for the Longhorns in the fourth with a 85 yard run with Sharp making the kick, giving the win to the team 49-0.

Southern

Valley 12,

Southwest 6

SOUTHWEST -- Southern Valley came back after a 1 hour and 15 minute weather delay to hold off the Roughriders 12-6.

Southern Valley scored in the first quarter with Gaven Fults completing a 22 yard pass to Taylor Lueking.

Southwest's Brandon Malleck scored in the second quarter with a 10 yard run. Southern Valley finished the scoring with Gaven Fults scoring on a 1 yd run in the third quarter.

Brandon Malleck led all rushers carrying 29 times for 131 yards. Southern Valley's Brock Einspahr carried 20 times for 72 yards.

Oberlin 33,

Hoxie 12

OBERLIN -- Decatur Community High School sent Hoxie home with a 33-12 win Friday night. Red Devil Garrit Peters scored in the first quarter with a 1-yard run.

Oberlins Jace Robinson added a TD in the second quarter with a 2 yard run. Hoxies Aumiller scoring on a 1-yard run.

Jace Robinson scored his second TD of the night in the third quarter with Garrit Peters adding the extra point.

In the fourth quarter Oberlins Andy Gilliam got on the board scoring on a 3 yard TD reception from Garrit Peters with Peters getting the extra point.

Jace Robinson ran for 75 yards to finish the Red Devils scoring. Aumiller scored for Hoxie with a 3 yd run.

Robinson blistered Hoxie for 227 yards. Peters adding 123 yards.

Robinson passed once for 10 yards, Peters threw one for 3 yards. Andy Gilliam had both receptions for 13 yards.

Jacob Unger and Seth Ritter led the defense with 10 tackles each with Ritter recovering one fumble.

Oakley 35,

Rawlins

County 0

OAKLEY -- Rawlins County's football team fell to Oakley Friday 35-0.

The Sperber boys led Oakley to the win, scoring with a 80 yard pass in the first and making the run. Moore added to the board with his 52 yard run and Rocette making the runin the second. Rocette ran another 61 yards in the third. The Sperbers were back in the fourth with a 31 yard pass and a 17 yard run to win the game.

Wauneta-

Palisade 48,

Medicine

Valley 8

CURTIS -- Wauneta-Palisade's football team overpowered Medicine Valley 48-8 Friday night.

Jake Smith led the Broncos in rushing with 7 carries for 106 yards for the win.

Trevor Wells and Matt Zysset led Medicine Valley. Wells was 3 for 6 for 41 yards in passing and had 9 tackles. Zysset also had 9 tackles.

Wauneta-Palisade took the first quarter, with an 11 yard run by Chris Crowell and Russel Ridlen making the kick.

Taylor Dixon joined in with a 43 yard run and Jake Smith had a 4 yard and 16 yard run.

The Broncos took the second quarter again, with Smith adding points to the board with a 10 yard and 43 yard run.

The Raiders tried to come back with a 27 yard pass from Trevor Wells to Clint Bryant ending the first half 42-8.

Wauneta-Palisade once again took the board with a 69 yard kickoff return by Crowell and giving the Broncos the win 48-8.

Loomis 50,

Bertrand 20

BERTRAND -- Bertrand's football team fell to Loomis 50-20 Friday night.

Loomis led the first quarter with a 5 yard run by Lance Thorell.

Thorell then passed to Mortin for a touchdown. Bertrand came back in the second with a 10 yard pass from Jordan High to Dillon Speigel.

Loomis fire back with a fumble recovery by Devin Carmicheal, once again giving Loomis the lead 22-8.

Bertrand tried again in the third with a 21 yard pass from Speigel to High, but Loomis managed to squash their attempts with a 24 yard TD by Lindstrom.

Loomis dominated the fourth quarter with a 50 yard run by Lindstrom, a 22 yard run by Thorell and a 3 yard run by McLain.

Bertrand's Dalton Peterson ran 73 yards on a kickoff return, ending the game 50-20.
