NORCATUR -- Glenn Alexander, 99, died Monday (Sept. 4, 2006) at Goshen General Hospital in Goshen, Ind.
He was born Dec. 14, 1906, to Joseph Harve and Mae (Taylor) Alexander, in Norcatur, Kan. He grew up in the Norcatur and Lyle area and attended Spring Branch Grade School and Norcatur High School.
He married Pearl Elaine Bowser on Aug. 26, 1931, in Norcatur. He farmed north of Norcatur and worked as a carpenter.
He was a member of the Norcatur Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl in 2003; his parents, Joseph and Mae; two sisters, Ivah and Pearl Alexander; and grandson, Craig Locy in 1996.
Survivors include his two daughters, Beverly Luntz and husband, Barry of Syracuse, Ind., and Maryllin Locy and husband, Jay of Kearney; six grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services are Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Norcatur Cemetery, with the Rev. Ray Gilstrap officiating. Interment will be in the Norcatur Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 3-8 p.m. at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin.
Memorials may be given to the Norcatur Methodist Church.
