WAUNETA -- Lorean Anderson, 82, died Monday (Sept. 4, 2006) at the Heritage of Wauneta Nursing Home in Wauneta.

She was born July 9, 1924, to Mabel Bell Ruby and LaVern R. Stephenson, at her grandmother's home in Wauneta. She attended rural schools, graduating from Wauneta High School in 1942. She was baptized in 1948 and confirmed in 1957 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church.

On June 28, 1942, she married Roger Fred Anderson of Laird, Colo., in St. Francis. In 1949, they bought their farm. In 1969, she started working for Barnes Nursing Home and later at the Kinder Kare nursing home. In 2003, she moved to the Heritage of Wauneta.

She was a member of the Shiloelle Club, and was a 4-H leader.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger in 1999; her parents; one sister, Leatha Bishcoff; brother-in-law, Elmer Bischoff; a son-in-law, Wayne Roschewski; and a grandson, Anthony Roschewski.

Survivors include her three daughters, Elaine Roschewski of Palisade, Judy Morris of Imperial, and Debbie Andrew and husband, Charles of Wauneta; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. (MT) at the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Wauneta, with the Rev. Greg Stuckwisch officiating. Inurnment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Wauneta.

There is no visitation, her body was cremated.

Memorials may be given in her name.
