Amanda Doucette and Aaron Burks both of Lincoln announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Parents of the couple are Ed and Bonnie Doucette and Geoff and Pam Burks of North Platte, formerly of Stratton.

The bride is a 1999 graduate of Highland High School in Pocatello, Idaho and is employed by SunMart in Lincoln. The prospective bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of North Platte High School and is employed by the Zachry Corporation of San Antonio, Texas.

The couple is planning an Oct. 28, 2006 wedding ceremony at Becky's Hall of Celebrations in North Platte.
