Mark J. Swayze

SIDNEY -- Mark J. Swayze, 20, died Saturday (Aug. 26, 2006) at his home in Sidney.

He was born July 29, 1986, to John Swayze and Patricia A. (Myers) Swayze at Loveland, Colo..  He was raised in Sidney and graduated from Sidney High School with the Class of 2005.  He had been attending Central Community College, Hastings Campus studying Diesel Technology.

Survivors include his mother,  Patty and friend, Jesse Jonas of Sidney; his father, John and wife, Debbie of Loveland, Colo.; one brother, Michael and wife, Jennifer of Loveland; one sister,  Lisa Swayze of Sidney; grandparents, Ron and Mary Drage of Kearney, Bob and Deloris Myers of Indianola, Jack Swayze of Johnstown, Colo., and Gale and Mae Talich of Sidney.

Funeral services were today at the First United Methodist Church in Sidney with Rev. Alan Davis officiating.  Cremation followed the services.

Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family. Gehrig Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
